Last year, on the first annual Crawford Gives Day, over $160,000 was raised for charity and nonprofit organizations all across Crawford County. Last year took place on October 2nd, but this year is a little bit earlier and begins next week on Monday August, 10th. Find out more about this year’s event by visiting CrawfordGives.org.

 

PennDOT is running its annual highway survey which seeks motorists input on highway traffic safety. The survey takes about five minutes and asks questions about seatbelt use, speeding, and distracted or drunk driving, among others, and can be found at PennDOT.gov/safety. You can also check out maintenance schedules for your county of residence for the week of August 3rd to 7th at PennDOT.gov/RegionalOffices.

 

At a recent meeting of its board members the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) has made the decision to carry on with public and private school sports for the 2020-2021 season, but not to allow spectators during the events due to concerns over the SARS-CoV2 coronavirus which causes COVID-19.
