Meadville Medical Center and Vernon Express Care have established a new COVID-19 testing location; this one is for individuals who are not showing symptoms, but require a test for work, school, travel, or other similar reasons. This new testing location is located at Vernon Express Care and operates from 10AM to 6PM. No appointment is required and anyone with questions may call (814)337-3300. Meadville Medical Center’s Flu Evaluation Center on 640 Alden Street is still the place to go if you may be showing symptoms of COVID-19. It is open from 9AM to 5PM Monday through Saturday and requires an appointment be scheduled by calling (814)373-5216.

Pennsylvania’s restaurants, bars, and nightclubs are under new restrictions after the average of new COVID-19 infections tripled around the commonwealth. The new restrictions include being limited to 25% capacity and say that alcohol can only be served on premises if it comes with a meal. The order encourages telework, and limits crowds at indoor gatherings to 25 people, it also limits outdoor crowds to less than 250. During a press conference Governor Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine blamed travel between states for the majority of the spread.
