A 53 year old woman was airlifted to UPMC Hamot on Tuesday after a pickup truck went airborne on Route 27 near Titusville. The unidentified female was the passenger in a Silverado truck that went airborne after a collision with a guide rail along the side of the roadway, traveled over an embankment, rolled twice, and then finally collided with a tree. The driver of the vehicle was taken to Titusville Hospital for minor injuries.

Another paving project will begin on the outskirts of the City of Meadville on Monday, July 20th, weather permitting. Work crews will resurface and repave about 3 miles of road along Route 27 from its intersection with North Street until it reaches Townline Road in West Meade Township.
The project will also include replacement traffic signals, drainage improvements, and more, and is expected to last until October 16th. There will be no detours and traffic will be controlled by flaggers.

The Pennsylvania State Police report seizing more than $5.7 million worth of illegal drugs from April 1st to June 30th. They also report recovering more than 200 pounds of prescription medications from drug takeback boxes located in every station.
