Authorities are still searching for an SUV which may be a black Chevrolet Traverse that was involved in a hit and run in Sparta Township, Crawford County. At about 7:30 in the evening on Sunday July 5th the vehicle’s driver collided with a horse and buggy on Canadohta Lake Road and then fled the scene in a westbound direction. A young amish couple and both of their infant children were hospitalized after the crash. Nearly 1,000 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health yesterday. The department confirmed 995 new cases on Tuesday which is the highest single day increase since May 10th. More than half of the new cases are reported in Philadelphia and Allegheny Counties and the majority involve people in younger age groups, especially 19 to 24 year olds. Since the SARS CoV-2 Virus has come to the Commonwealth there have been more than 91,000 confirmed infections leading to almost 6,500 deaths and 63,500 patients are considered recovered.
