The Manufacturing and Business Association chapter located in Erie County is hosting the United States Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross, for a business roundtable discussion with select members of their organization today. In a press release which includes a short syllabus of events, topics of discussion are going to include the effects COVID-19 has had on small manufacturing businesses, the USCMA trade agreement that comes into effect today, and more.

 

Meadville Medical Center has opened a new outpatient laboratory for patients in need of test results. The new lab is located at their facility on 747 Terrace Street in Meadville and is open on Monday through Friday from 7:30AM to 4PM.

 

The Crawford County Commissioners are working on a plan to distribute more than $7.5 million dollars of CARES Act money to organizations which have suffered financial losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The plan will focus on providing grant funds to municipalities, non-profits, public safety, agriculture, and small businesses that failed to qualify for other types of assistance. Though they cannot help everybody the Commissioners seek to distribute funds as fairly as possible. If your organization is in need of assistance and falls into these categories please write a detailed letter explaining your financial losses and mail it to:
