In Harrisburg a bill to ban the use of choke holds by police in Pennsylvania passed through a senate committee by unanimous consent. The Pennsylvania Senate Law and Justice Committee approved the bill to ban choke holds with little discussion and no dissenting lawmakers. The full State Senate will be hearing on the bill within the next few weeks.

 

The State of Pennsylvania has come to a settlement with Baltimore based Money Map Press and earned damages for Pennsylvanians who were hurt by the company’s misleading publications about investments and government funding programs. As part of the settlement any PA resident who suffered a financial setback by purchasing one of the company’s products has 60 days to file a complaint at attorneygeneral.gov.
