As of midnight last night the stay at home orders across Pennsylvania have been lifted in all 67 counties, which effectively moved the entire state into either the yellow or green phase of reopening. Mercer and Butler County were among the 16 counties that have been shifted into the green phase today, while Erie and Beaver counties remain the sole yellow counties in the western half of the state. Governor Wolf did renew the 90 day emergency declaration which gives the state government continued authority to deal with the pandemic, and 537 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed yesterday which is down almost 75% from the peak in April. The disease has killed over 5,800 Pennsylvanians and almost 70% of infected people have recovered. Please remember even during the green phase that masks are required inside retail spaces like stores and malls and while entering or exiting a restaurant. Please continue to practice social distancing, wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds, and be kind to one another.
