In Harrisburg, State representative Frank Ryan of Lebanon County, introduced a bill that would put a freeze on cost of living adjustments for officials in the State Government in 2020. The pay freeze would affect Pennsylvania’s legislative, judiciary, and executive branches and prevent them from receiving any pay increases until next year. In a press release Ryan reasoned that in face of massive revenue losses and high unemployment for residents officials should not be taking a pay raise.
