Today certain recreation related facilities across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be able to resume operations. Golf courses, privately owned campgrounds, marinas, and guided fishing tours are allowed to open up and begin serving the public again today with some restrictions. People participating in these activities are still expected to practice social distancing and wear a mask among other specific rules for each business.

After Wednesday’s meeting of the PASSHE Board of Governors it was announced there would be no increase in tuition to attend Pennsylvania’s Universities for the 2020 and 2021 school year. This is the second year in a row with a freeze on tuition costs. Pennsylvania’s 14 state owned Universities include Slippery Rock, Edinboro, and Clarion.

Yesterday Pennsylvania’s Senate Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee subpoenaed Governor Tom Wolf for documents related to the appeals process for COVID-19 business closure order. According to the Committee chairman, Senator Mike Regan, the subpoena was the only remaining option after getting no response to repeated requests.
