Franklin Man Charged for Child Pornography

A Franklin man named Jeffery Storm Junior was arraigned on charges related to the sexual exploitation of children on Friday. Storm was arrested after a long term investigation by the Sugarcreek PD and was charged with multiple crimes for photographing or filming and possession of child pornography.

 

Boy 13, Steals Skid Steer

A 13 year old Boy has been charged with the theft of a skid steer in the Crawford County Town of Harmonsburg. According to authorities the minor confessed to the crime after an interview with police and has been remitted to the care of juvenile probation.

 

Tobacco Ban on Playgrounds in All State Parks

The use of Tobacco products has been banned near all playgrounds located on state parklands in Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced the ban on Friday; it bans the use of any tobacco products including smoking, vaping, or chewing within 30 feet of any designated playground area in any State Park in the commonwealth. The ban should be in full effect by Memorial Day.

 

Home Invasion in Union City

The Corry State Police are investigating a home invasion that took place early on Sunday morning in Union City. Between 1 and 1:30AM on Sunday morning 4 or 5 individuals armed with shotguns kicked in the front door of a home on Union City’s Main Street, terrorized the three occupants, and ransacked the house. The suspects took two cellular phones and a Playstation 4 video game console and then fled eastbound on Route 6. The Corry State Police are developing suspects at this time and are asking anyone who can help to call them information at (814)663-2043.

 

New Industrial Hemp Caucus Comes to State Government

The State of Pennsylvania’s legislature has a new caucus that recently formed to promote the growth of industrial hemp. This new Industrial Hemp Caucus is a bipartisan group co-chaired by Democratic state Rep. Margo Davidson and Republican Russ Diamond.
