Rimersburg Man Arrested After Drunken Crime Spree

24 year old Toby Weckerly of Rimersburg has been charged with multiple crimes after allegedly falling into a drunken rage, then arguing and fighting with a woman and state police troopers, and damaging a house. The spree started as Weckerly began smashing walls and doors inside his rental home, police say that he then picked an argument with an unidentified woman which ended with him punching her multiple times in the face. Weckerly has also been charged with resisting arrest for attempting to fight with State Troopers who responded.

 

Woman, 19, Hit by Car while on Bike

A woman was hospitalized after a car collided with her bicycle in Mercer County. A little before 6AM on Friday January 31st, a motorist collided with the rear end of a bike ridden by a 19 year old Knox woman on Leesburg Grove City Road in Springfield Township. Authorities report the victim was using all the legally required safety gear during the accident.

 

Roadside Guinea Pig Rescue

A trooper from the Erie State Police Barracks discovered five abandoned guinea pigs by the side of the Bayfront Connector last Friday morning and rescued the three survivors from the cold. The guinea’s are now in the care of Anna Shelter while authorities investigate this as a case of animal cruelty.
