North East Woman Charged with Child Sexual Assault

A woman from the town of North East had her bail set at $250,000 for the alleged sexual assault of a minor. 44 year old Alicia Gates was arraigned last Friday on charges of corruption of minors and institutional sexual assault on a child victim. She was arrested on those charges on the 7th after six month long investigation.


Five Injured in Warren County Crash

Five people, including four teenagers and a senior citizen, were injured in a crash on Route 6 in Warren County. Crash scene investigators report that a group of teenagers aged 16 to 18 were waiting to make a left turn near School Street in Meade Township when a 63 year old woman collided with the rear of their vehicle and pushed them approximately 70 feet.


PA Senate Approves Earlier Primary Elections Date

The Pennsylvania State Senate approved a measure to change the date of the commonwealth’s primary elections on presidential election years. If the bill passes primaries would be held on the third Tuesday in March instead of the fourth Tuesday in April during presidential election years. It’s an attempt to give Pennsylvania a bigger say in the selection of presidential nominees.
