Disturbing Corruption of Minors Case in Venango County

The Franklin State Police are reporting that there was an incident involving two young boys aged only 7 and 5 years old that were performing sexual acts on each other. The only other details released so far are that the incident took place on Hill City Road in Venango County’s Cranberry Township on Monday, and that its being investigated as a Corruption of Minor’s case.


State News: Former Nurse Charged with Hundreds of Crimes

A former Franklin County Nurse is being arraigned on hundreds of charges stemming from recording videos of over 200 patients at UPMC Carlisle Hospital. 39 year old Michael Bragg of Chambersburg has been charged with nearly 400 crimes, including sexually assaulting at least two patients and 19 counts of manufacturing child pornography. Markie’s Law Update

Markie’s Law was approved by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives yesterday. Markie’s Law seeks to add an additional 2 years to the minimum parole date for any inmate for each violent offense they commit while imprisoned. Markie’s Law is named after a boy who was stabbed to death by a convicted murderer who was paroled 20 years into a 40 year sentence despite committing several crimes while in prison.
