Explosives Found During Drug Arrest
Two more homemade explosive devices were discovered by authorities in the City of Franklin. The Sugarcreek Police Department discovered the two devices while investigating reports from CYS of possible methamphetamine manufacturing at a home on Crestview Drive. Two suspects named Kassidy Clark and John Roxberry were arrested, and police seized drugs and paraphernalia that were also in the apartment; two children were also removed from the premises.
A Pennsylvania State Police Bomb Squad took the explosives to a bomb range for disarmament where one detonated during the procedure. Clark and Roxberry face multiple felonies and misdemeanors that include endangering the welfare of children, risking a catastrophe, and drug possession with intent to deliver.
New Contract for University Staff in PA
In State News a new Union Contract was approved between state university faculty and the state of Pennsylvania. The PASSHE (Pennsylvania State System of higher Education) Board of Governors approved a new contract with the APSCUF (Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties) that includes a 12% increase in salary over the next 4 years.
