E-Cigarettes Produce Dangerous Carbon Monoxide Levels

A student led study on electronic cigarettes at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania published results that show some e-cigs produce dangerous levels of carbon monoxide gas. The study showed that some of the devices can produce more than 180 parts per million of carbon monoxide, which is about four times what’s considered safe by federal standards. This is the first scientific test that links e-cigarettes with carbon monoxide and it has been published in the Online Journal of Tobacco Control.
