Be Safe This Thanksgiving Travel Season
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and AAA reports that about 90% of the around 2 million Pennsylvanians traveling for the holiday this year will be using their cars. The average price of gasoline in the State is about $2.79 according to AAA, but is higher in our region at an average cost of about $2.94 according to the Gas Buddy website. If you are one of the folks traveling a long distance this year it’s recommended to leave early and avoid the extra traffic that will be hitting Pennsylvania’s highway and interstate roads. Also the Pennsylvania State Police will be increasing patrols over the holiday, including speed and DUI checkpoints, and seatbelt law enforcement to help keep travelers safe over the travel period. You can help keep this a safe and happy Thanksgiving weekend for more families by reporting any aggressive or erratic drivers you encounter and by obeying all traffic safety laws. Both AAA and the Pennsylvania State Police and of course all of us at Forever Media in Northwest Pennsylvania wish you happy Thanksgiving.
