Fryburg Residents think Washington Township Sewage Project Stinks
In Clarion County’s Washington Township, residents of Fryburg have been fighting a legal battle to prevent the expansion of a sewage and water system they say they neither need nor want. According to Kevin McCauley, who has been a leader in the movement, most Fryburg residents and businesses maintain their own wells and septic systems and could face personal costs of up to $7,000 apiece to be connected to the Township water system, plus unwanted or unaffordable monthly water and sewage bills. We could not get in contact with a representative from Washington Township.
