Crash Leads to Drug Bust

State Troopers in Warren County made a drug arrest after a traffic accident in Freehold Township. It’s reported that an 18 year old man from Youngsville was arrested after police found marijuana and paraphernalia scattered about the car after it crashed on Route 957. The driver was not reported as injured.

 

Multimodal Transportation Fund Grants Received by Area

A few towns in our coverage area have received hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant money from the Multimodal Transportation Fund to help with local projects. The Borough of Cochranton was approved for $150,000 to help offset the costs of a project to repave and refinish South Franklin Street in front of the elementary school. Clarion was the recipient of $700,000 to improve Grand Avenue and provide access to the Glassworks Business Park.

 

Carefully Check Policies while Shopping for ACA Insurance

A warning from Pennsylvania’s Insurance Commissioner Jessica Altman about shopping on the ACA’s marketplace this year: Customers need to pay close attention to be sure they know if they are buying a comprehensive policy or not. Non-Comprehensive policies being promoted by the Trump Administration are not required to cover everything stipulated by the ACA. Pennsylvania is expected to be running its own insurance exchange in 2020 and those on the market for health insurance will be able to shop there at this time next year.
