Police Seek Witnesses to Burglary

The Pennsylvania State Police based in Meadville are looking for some public assistance in their investigation of a burglary that took place near Springboro. More than $2,000 worth of tools were stolen from the property of 62 year old Joseph Sablyak sometime between Sunday October 13th and Saturday the 19th. Anyone with information is being asked to call the Pennsylvania State Police in Meadville at (814)332-6911. Stolen items include a Shore Model 920 Moisture Meter, a DeWalt brand grease gun, a Stihl brand chainsaw with 16 inch bar, Stihl brand weed eater, a battery charger, multiple hand tools, and a red LED flashlight.

 

PA Legislature Approves Election Reform Package

Major election reform will be coming to Pennsylvania after the General Assembly passed a huge reform bill in the House and Senate. Just some of the provisions in the election reform package include an extended registration period, $90 million in grant money to help counties purchase new voting machines, new rules for mail in and absentee voting, and the elimination of a straight ticket voting button. Governor Tom Wolf plans to sign the bill into law as early as possible.
