Amber Alert Ends in Quick Arrest of Suspect

Friday’s Amber Alert in Crawford County was resolved quickly with no harm to the child. The alert was issued after Travis Wright took his two year old daughter from her home in Vernon Township without her mother’s consent and drove away without any child safety equipment. He was arrested in the Erie area later that same day shortly after 3:00 in the afternoon. Travis has been charged with crimes related to the incident and also with simple assault and harassment from an incident the night before.

 

Roundabout Installation Outside Meadville Complete

Also in Crawford County’s Vernon Township, construction on the two lane roundabout at the intersection now known by many locals as ‘The Big O’ is officially completed. The roundabout was constructed to replace Vernon’s Big I Intersection between Routes 322, 19, and 98. PennDOT has added an instructional video on how to navigate the two lane roundabout on its YouTube Channel.

 

Victoria’s Law Seeks to End PA Puppy Mills

In Harrisburg some lawmakers are pushing to ban the sale of animals bred in puppy mills and similar conditions at all pet stores in Pennsylvania. Senate Bill 44 is known as Victoria’s Law and is named after a German shepherd dog rescued after being bred at a puppy mill for 10 years.
