Fatal Crash in Venango County

One man is dead and another hospitalized after a late night traffic accident in Venango County at around 10:30 Tuesday night. Investigators say that 32 year old Casey Flowers collided head on with 60 year old Mitchell Manfield while they travelled along US Route 62 in Cranberry Township. Flowers was dead by the time authorities arrived while Manfield was airlifted to an emergency hospital in Pittsburgh.

 

Woman Attacks Family/Police With Knife and Fists

56 year old Laura Texter of Knox was taken into custody by authorities in Clarion County after a domestic violence incident. A report from Clarion State Police reveals Texter went berserk and attacked four of her own family members with a knife, her bare hands, and by biting. The same report states she attacked a State Police Trooper as they tried to apprehend her.

 

Shapiro Files Suite Against Rent to Own Company

Pennsylvania’s Attorney General has filed a lawsuit against Vision Property Management on behalf of 650 residents of the State. The suit alleges the company locked hundreds of families into rent to own property contracts for homes that were unlivable.

Broken glass has been strewn about the driveways of homes along State Highway 98 in Crawford County. The broken glass bottles are reportedly a weekly occurrence at homes in Conneautville and Springboro and have damaged at least one person’s tire. On the night of Wednesday October 2nd one or more actors vandalized objects on multiple people’s properties by tagging them with spray paint. The trail of vandalism followed sections of Gehring Road and Steadman Road in Crawford County’s Troy Township and authorities are looking for a dark blue sedan that may be related to the incident. In Clarion County authorities are looking for witnesses to a hit and run incident in the parking lot of a big box store on Perkins Road in Monroe Township. A driver of an unidentified white vehicle crashed into a Chevy Equinox and then drove away without stopping. Please call (814)226-1710 if you witnessed the incident.
