Truck Sought in Hit and Run Incident

Venango County Authorities are on the lookout for a green Toyota Tacoma involved in a hit and run incident at a fast food restaurant on Allegheny Boulevard in Franklin. The vehicle was involved in a crash and then sped away from the scene toward Oil City.  The truck had heavy front end damage and if you have information please call the Sugarcreek Police Department at (814)437-3703.

 

$162,000 Raised in over 1,750 Donations to Crawford Gives

The inaugural Crawford Gives Day was a huge success and reported more than $160,000 in donations to dozens of charities and nonprofits across the county. The most individual gifts were given to Women’s Services incorporated which received over $10,000 in donations, and Love in the Name of Christ of Titusville was gifted more than $13,000 which made it the largest donation recipient. Senate Hearings on Childhood Sexual Assault

Pennsylvania’s Senate Judiciary Committee recently held hearings on the potential of expanding the cutoff on the Statute of Limitations for survivors of Childhood Sexual Assault to sue their abusers. The committee heard testimonies of support from survivors of child rape and their advocates, and they also heard from attorneys representing non-profit and religious groups about how paving the way for more litigation isn’t the answer.
