Human Remains Discovered in Crawford County

Authorities in Crawford County are working to identify human remains that were discovered in Crawford County. The remains consist of bones that were scattered along a wooded area along Steadman Road in Troy Township. Anthropologists from Mercyhurst University are assisting the coroner with collection and identification of the remains and there is currently no suspicion of foul play.

 

Paint the Plow Voting is Online Now

Online Voting for PennDOT’s Paint the Plow event is going on right now. To participate you can go to www.PennDOT.gov/District1 and click on the Paint the Plow icon. There you will be able to view all the submissions from each school and vote for your favorite.

 

365 Days to REALID

Attention PA residents who travel often; in one year REALID laws will come into effect nationally. On October 1st, 2020, REALID will be required to board any domestic flights or enter a military base or certain federal buildings. Don’t wait until the last minute to get REALID compliant identification, head to a PA Driver’s License or REALID Center to start the process as soon as possible. Two Men Airlifted from Venango County Crash Site

Two people were airlifted to UMPC Presbetyrian Hospital after a head on collision in Venango County. Crash scene investigators say that 32 year old Trevor Williams of Knox was traveling along Route 322 in Cranberry Township when he drifted into the opposing line and collided with 45 year old Jeffrey Brazezicke. The force of the collision was so violent both vehicles were turned 180 degrees to face in the opposite direction.

 

Teen Escapes Injury in Rollover

A 16 year old girl avoided serious injury after a rollover crash in Erie County. She attempted to avoid a deer while driving along Sciota Road in Wayne Township, but overcompensated and rolled the SUV she was driving several times. She was released from Corry Hospital with only minor injuries.

 

Suspicious Vehicle Sought

Authorities in Clarion County are investigating reports of a suspicious vehicle spotted in Ashland Township. The vehicle is a tan colored Subaru Legacy with Pennsylvania registration and plates and was initially reported on Grace Church Road Friday the 27th. PA Constable Charged with Indecent Assault

A candidate for Sheriff in Jefferson County has been charged with indecent assault and other crimes. It’s alleged 56 year old Paul Pape of Punxatawny was working as a constable when he attempted to coerce a woman into having sex by telling her he could get rid of an outstanding warrant. Charges have been filed through the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office.
