Wanted Venango County Man Arrested

On July 3rd William Caleb Clayton was arrested by police officers in the city of Pittsburgh and brought back to Venango County to face charges brought against him by the Sugarcreek PD. Clayton is a 19 year old man that was wanted for the rape and indecent assault of a teenage girl in the Franklin area and fled Venango County in an attempt to elude arrest. He remains in Venango County jail on $85,000 bail set by Judge Kirkland.


Authorities on Alert for DUI Drivers

Last year during Independence Weekend there were 25 fatal crashes involving drunk driving in Pennsylvania. In an effort to keep the roads safe, state and local police forces will be performing DUI checkpoints and roving patrols all throughout the holiday. Roae’s Bill Becomes Law

A local state representative’s utility reform bill has become the law of the land. Governor Tom Wolf signed Rep. Brad Roae’s House Bill 751 which makes several changes to the utilities code which covers electricity, water, and natural gas, including how their providers are taxed.
