Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash

A 73 year old Fairview man was injured after colliding with a road sign near Saegertown in Crawford County’s Hayfield Township. Joseph Georgal left the road for unknown reasons, collided with the sign, and then slid along the road about 45 feet. He was not wearing a helmet or safety gear and was taken to a hospital in Erie for unknown injuries.

 

State Police Search for Lost Weapon

Another motorcyclist lost a firearm along Old Route 8 in Venango County. The weapon is a black colored Smith and Wesson M&P Shield that was in the pocket of a jacket which is also missing. If you locate the handgun or have information please call State Police Trooper Cassandra Miller at (814)676-6596.

 

Governor Signs Pennsylvania GI Bill

Pennsylvania’s Governor Tom Wolf added his signature yesterday to Pennsylvania’s own GI Bill. The new law offers 10 semesters of free tuition at any of the schools in the Pennsylvania State System of Education, such as Edinboro or Slippery Rock University, to any member of the National Guard who re-enlists for a six year term; the benefit also extends to children and spouses.
