Townville Man Charged in Meadville Assault

42 year old Jeremiah Johnson of Townville has officially been charged with Terroristic Threats, Harassment, and Simple Assault after attacking his girlfriend while she was driving last Friday. On June 14th just before 7AM Sarah Dixon was driving Johnson along Blooming Valley Road to get a mental health evaluation in Meadville when he punched her in the face and put a knife to her throat. Sarah escaped from the car and Johnson was rounded up by State Police a short time later.

 

Parts Stolen off Parked Truck in Polk

Authorities are investigating the theft of parts from a truck stolen right off the vehicle near Polk in Venango County. Some of the parts taken off the RAM 1500 include the hood, core support, tailgate, and Cooper mud tires. Owner Ryan Aiken told authorities the vehicle had all its pieces on Tuesday the 11th. New Report Shows Amount of Parole Violators per State

A first of its kind report by the State Government Justice Center reveals that nearly half of all inmates in most state prisons are being incarcerated for technical violations of parole or probation. In Pennsylvania that figure is only about 16%. Corrections Secretary John Wetzel says he hopes to use this information to create a road map for dealing with such violations in the future.
