Stolen Go-Kart Sought

Authorities in Venango County are searching for a stolen go-kart taken on Saturday June 8th. The stolen kart is a 2006 Hyper Fox model, red in color, and has a yellow fox head decal on the front. If you have information please call the Franklin State Police Department at (814)676-6596.


Western PA Rep Reveals Plan to Separate Public and Private School Playoffs

State Rep. Aaron Bernstein has a plan to separate the PIAA Playoffs into separate divisions for public and private schools. It’s called the Parity in Interscholastic Athletics Act and already has the support of officials from public and private schools, which had a hand in writing the bill. Bernstein plans to reveal the text of the bill in a press conference at 10AM today.


Electric Vehicle Fee Proposed

In more state news: The Pennsylvania House Transportation Committee has given initial approval to a measure designed to have drivers of electric cars pay their share of wear and tear on roads. The bill seeks to remove the alternative fuel tax and replace it with a flat electric vehicle fee of $150.
