Charges to be Filed against Saegertown Man after Crash

State Police say that Dakota Schultz of Saegertown will be facing charges including Hit and Run after he allegedly fled the scene of an accident in Springboro. According to police; on Saturday, April 27th Schultz collided with a utility pole on North Main Street with enough force to cause his vehicle’s right front tire to break free and hit a vehicle parked in a driveway. They say he left the scene of the crash on foot and was identified by eyewitnesses.

 

Governor Joins US Climate Alliance, Becomes 25th Member

As part of a new climate action plan revealed by Pennsylvania DEP Secretary Patrick McDonnell, Governor Tom Wolf announced is the commonwealth will be joining the US Climate Alliance. The alliance is a bipartisan commission of states seeking to attempt to uphold the commitments made in the Paris Climate Agreement.

 

Judge Overturns Graham Spanier Conviction

One day before he was to go to jail a federal judge threw out former Penn State University President Graham Spanier’s conviction for Child Endangerment yesterday. Judge Karoline Mehalchik ruled that Spanier was improperly charged under a law that was written after the Jerry Sandusky scandal. She ordered prosecutors to try him again under the version of the law that written when it happened.
