Crawford County Jail Inmate Caught in Escape Attempt

51 year old Norman Rossey Junior was arrested by State and local Police and faces charges of Escape after failing to return to Crawford County Jail from work release. State Police say Rossey was deemed an escapee after leaving his job site around noon last Thursday. He was arrested by 7:20 that same night at a home on Roger’s Ferry Road in Vernon Township.


Troopers Seek Help in Theft Case

Between 8PM on Tuesday April 9th and 8AM Wednesday April 10th someone broke into a car on Gilson Ridge Road in Crawford County’s Oil Creek Township. Prescription medications, $120 cash, a black hooded Carhart Sweater and a sparkly pink makeup bag were removed from inside. If you may have information call the Corry State Police at (814)663-2043.


Dog License Enforcement in Effect State Wide

Dog Law Enforcement Wardens from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture are going door to door around the state this month checking that dogs are licensed and vaccinated for rabies. Spokesperson for the department Shannon Powers reminds people that dog licenses run from $6.50 for neutered animals to $8.50 for intact, while the fines for having a unlicensed dog run in the hundreds of dollars.
