Troopers Seek Witnesses to Burglary

State Troopers are searching for leads in a burglary on the Venango County side of Titusville. Hand tools and miscellaneous tools were stolen from the garage of a 75 year old man on White City Road in Venango County’s Oilcreek Township yesterday. The items are believed to be contained in a blue Craftsmen bag that was also stolen. If you have information please call the Franklin State Police at (814)676-6596 and refer to case PA-450932.


Rimersburg Couple Honored in House Resolution

In the yearly resolution recognizing April as Esophageal Cancer Awareness and Prevention Month State Representative Donna Oberlander recognized a Rimersburg couple for their efforts to raise awareness for the disease. Rich and Linda Horner have been advocates for awareness of the disease since Rich survived a battle with it 11 years ago.


PA Game Commission to Open Seer Season Early

The Pennsylvania Game Commission’s board has made a modification to deer hunting season this year. Rifle Hunting season will start on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving this year which is November 30th. This is the first change to rifle deer season in almost 60 years.
