Two Motorcycles Collide in Venango County

Two people suffered injuries when two motorcycles collided on Jackson Center Road Venango County Sunday Afternoon. Jeffery Riedel of Niles Ohio and an unidentified female passenger were hurt when they crashed into the rear tire of a motorcycle operated by Jeffery Wheeler of Stoneboro and fell into the road. EMTS from Community Ambulance and Polk Volunteer Fire Department performed first aid and all three motorcyclists were able to leave on their bikes.

Six Packs at Private Clubs a Possibility

In State News; Pennsylvania’s House Liquor Control Committee approved a bill that would allow private clubs like the American Legion to sell six packs of beer to go. The bill’s sponsor is Representative Timothy O’Neal, and he told the committee the bill would provide another source of funding for clubs run by volunteer fire departments and other similarly structured organizations.


Ex Convict Nominated to Chair Pardon’s Board

Lt. Governor John Fetterman has nominated a unique chairman for the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons. His nominee is John Flood, a man who once served nine years for drug and firearms charges and himself received a pardon. Flood is being touted as an example of how an ex-felon can turn their life around and become a productive member of society.
