Officials Looking to Honor Vietnam Era Vets

US Senator Pat Toomey, State Senator Dan Laughlin, and State Representative Parke Wentling are seeking vietnam war era veterans to honor in a ceremony for National Vietnam War Veterans Day on March 28th. If you served in any branch of the United States Military between November of 1955 and May 15th of 1975 they would like to honor you in a ceremony at St. John’s the Evangelist Parish Center in Girard. You can also email esweeney@pasen.gov or register at senatorlaughlin.com/vietnam This is open to all veterans of the area regardless of if they fought in the war.

 

Longietti Becomes Democratic House Chair of Major Caucus

Local State Representative Mark Longietti from Mercer County has been chosen as one of the co-chairs for Pennsylvania’s Rare Disease Caucus. He joins Representative Marcy Toepel, and State Senators Judy Ward and John Blake in representing the interests of Pennsylvanian’s with rare and unusual conditions.

 

PA Governor Calls for Bail Reform

Governor Tom Wolf is calling for bail reform in Pennsylvania. The Governor wishes to see cash bail for those arrested for certain non-violent misdemeanor offenses be removed entirely.
