Meadville Bulldogs Win District Championship for Boys Basketball
Congratulations to the Meadville Bulldogs Boys Basketball team on winning the District 10 Championship last night. The Bulldogs overcame the Cathedral Prep Ramblers 67-58 and Senior Lashan Lindsey became the highest scoring player in school history. Girls Basketball finished the season with 10 wins and 13 losses.
Fetterman Visits Alleghenny College on Listening Tour Today

Pennsylvania’s Lt. Governor will be stopping in Meadville Tonight as part of an all county listening tour. John Fetterman will be at the Schultz Dining Hall on the Allegheny College Campus from 6PM to 7:30PM tonight discussing the public’s opinions on the legalization of the recreational use of marijuana. All opinions on the subject are welcome.
Minimum Wage is a Major Issue for the 2019 – 2020 Budget Year
As budget hearings and proposals continue to take up much of the legislature’s business the minimum wage is a major topic of discussion and debate in Harrisburg. Republican Jake Corman is the Senate Majority Leader; during a QA session with the Pennsylvania Press Club he said he opposes the Governor’s current plan but, the topic is one worth discussing. Governor Wolf proposed an immediate wage increase to $12 per hour this year and a $0.50 a year increase until the minimum hits $15 an hour by 2025.
