Teen Arrested After Assaulting Family

A 15 year old male from Greenville is in State Police Custody after allegedly assaulting his brother, mother, and grandmother. State Police in Crawford County say an argument over a cellphone turned into a physical confrontation that ended with the accused teen trying to flee troopers on foot.

Repairs to Bridge Between Meadville and Saegertown Start Soon

PennDOT has announced that repairs to a bridge on Route 19 between Meadville and Saegertown are expected to begin on Thursday. An oversized vehicle damaged the bridge which spans French Creek on January 16th and work crews have developed a plan to repair six damaged pieces of the structure. Interstate 79 and State Route 198 will be used as a detour while work is underway.

 

Auditor General Calls for Stronger Gifting Laws

Pennsylvania’s Auditor General Eugene Depasquale has called for an expansion of state laws covering the accepting and reporting of gifts offered by private entities. This call comes after a report by his agency shows that government officials in 18 counties accepted gifts from companies that produce voting machines.
