Attempted Murder Charges for Man That Threatened Woman in Her Home

A 28 year old Seneca man named Matthew Rumzie was arrested Saturday and charged with Burglary, Aggravated Assault, Strangulation, Attempted Homicide, and more. According to the Pennsylvania State Police its alleged that Rumzie broke into the home of a 25 year old woman and demanded he be allowed to see her cell phone while holding a knife to her throat; he threatened to kill her and himself if she didn’t allow it. It’s also said he choked and punched his victim when she tried to escape and that Rumzie tried to follow her to the hospital and attacked her car with a hammer. He matches the profile of a man who was arrested later and found with drugs near Titusville that same day.

 

Man Sues Judge over Immigration Detainment

A federal lawsuit filed against a Cumberland County judge is making national headlines. Alex Parker, a legal US resident alien who was adopted as a child, filed the suit after he was detained on his wedding day under the orders of Judge Elizabeth Beckley so that they could verify his immigration status in 2017. Parker’s lawsuit states that he had already provided valid identification, that he was unlawfully detained in violation of his constitutional rights and asserts Judge Beckley did not have the legal authority to try and enforce federal immigration law in that manner.

 

Arrest Made After High Speed Chase in Crawford County

The Pennsylvania State Police in Crawford County arrested Aaron Bicehouse of Clarks Mills after alleging he lead them on a high speed chase exceeding 120 miles per hour. Troopers say they were stopping to check on why Bicehouse was parked on the side of Route 322 when he fled and led them on a pursuit that ended on Route 19. He is charged with Reckless Endangerment of his passenger, Fleeing and Eluding, and summary traffic violations.

 

Elderly Man Recieves Harrassment Charges

60 year old Glenn Hedrick of Clarion is charged with harassment after an argument. Hedrick allegedly slapped and pushed a 56 year old woman before pouring water on her during an argument.

 

One Year of Medical Cannibis in PA

Pennsylvania’s Medical Marijuana program is one year old this week. In its first year it qualified 1,000 physicians to prescribe it as a treatment to more than 83,000 patients. The program has also licensed 25 growers and 50 dispensaries.
