Man Charged with Drug Possession in Hospital

A 36 year old Franklin man named Ian Jordan is facing charges for possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia after alleged drugs were discovered on him after surgery. Jordan was recovering from a procedure at an area hospital when staff found two syringes filled with a milky substance and three stamp bags of white powder in his socks.

 

Academic Decatholan Starts Tomorrow at EU

Edinboro University is host to the 2019 Pennsylvania Academic Decathlon Western Regional Competition. High school students from all across Western PA are gathering at Edinboro today for competition in which the top students will move on to Carlisle to compete in the State Championships. Competitors will gather for events at 12:20 in the Frank G. Pogue Student Center on Friday and Louis C. Cole Auditorium on Saturday.

 

Solar Power Industry Growing in PA

One of the fastest growing industries in Pennsylvania is surprisingly solar power. Solar power related jobs increased by more than 4,200 employees in 2018, increasing its workforce size by about 10%. Nationally the solar power industry has grown in market share by 159%.
