Two Arrested Outside Burgled Home
19 year old Trista Gradler and a 17 year old male were arrested outside of a home on the outskirts of Titusville on Saturday after allegedly burglarizing it. According to police Gradler and her partner were caught red handed by one of the residents and were carrying multiple bags full of pilfered objects when they fled the scene. They’ve both been charged with theft, burglary, criminal trespass and other related crimes.
February SNAP Benefits to be Paid Friday

There are about 2 million families relying on SNAP benefits, also known as food stamps, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Because of the partial shutdown of the federal government those beneficiaries will be receiving their February benefit payments on on Friday, January 18th. Secretary of Human Services Teresa Miller says families need to remember these payments are meant to last through the month of February and future payments depend on the availability of USDA funds.
Greenville Woman Sentenced for 2015 Murder of Husband

49 year old Amy Emmet of Greenville was handed a prison sentence of 23 ½ to 52 years after pleading no contest to the 2015 murder of her husband William. She shot both herself and her husband in a parking lot in Sharon during a failed murder suicide attempt after he asked for a divorce in July of 2015.

City of Franklin PD
The City of Franklin Police Department has issued a warrant for the arrest of Keith Horn. Horn is wanted on charges of criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and reckless burning. He is the primary suspect in a series of fires that have been set in garbage cans and dumpsters located throughout the city of Franklin.
State News: DA Says Pittsburgh Should Not Move Ahead with Gun Ban
Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala Jr. has written a letter to Pittsburgh City Council informing them their attempts to legislate weapons in city limits would probably not be legal. The City Council is reviewing proposals to ban semi-automatic rifles and certain types of ammunition but state law forbids localities from certain firearms legislation.
