Coolspring Man Injured in Crash

A 61 year old man was badly injured during a roll over crash on an icy patch of Interstate 80 in Clarion County. Edwin Burkett of Coolspring Pennsylvania was traveling westward through Richland Township when he slid on an icy patch, smashed through a guardrail into the median, and rolled his truck into a tree.


Tom Wolf Swears in for Second Gubernatorial Term

Governor Tom Wolf will be sworn in for a second term as Pennsylvania’s executive official today. 
Wolf is expected to speak about restoring the public trust in government and bipartisanship. He has already indicated that he will be pursuing an increase in the State’s minimum wage. John Fetterman, the former mayor of Braddock and new Lt. Governor will also be sworn in.


State Police Confiscated $66 Million in Illegal Drugs during 2018

Pennsylvania State Police Spokesman Ryan Tarkowski publically released the numbers for drug seizures in 2018. In the fourth quarter of 2018 more than $16 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated by State Troopers which brings the yearly total to about $66 million. Nearly 200 pounds worth of heroin and fentanyl were among the captured drugs.
