NWPA Reps. Head State Legislative Committees

Several State Representatives from from Northwest PA have been selected to head committees in the General Assembly for the upcoming legislative session. Kathy Rapp of Forest and Warren Counties will head the Health Committee, Erie County Rep. Curt Sonney heads up Education, and Martin Causer of McKean County heads Agriculture and Rural Affairs.


642 Crashes Reported Over New Year’s

The Pennsylvania State Police are reporting over 640 crashes over the New Year’s weekend between December 29th and January 1st; four of those crashes were fatal. They also report 406 arrests for DUI and over 6,000 speeding citations in that short period of time.


PA Clean Slate Law First in Nation

Pennsylvania is the first US State to implement a clean slate law which started in earnest on Christmas. This clean slate law allows non violent former offenders who have paid all their debts and remained crime free for at least 10 years to have their records sealed against background checks.
