Police Seek Witnesses to Burglary

Pennsylvania State Police based in Crawford County are seeking help from the general public in their investigation of a Shenango Township burglary that happened earlier this month. A the garage of a summer and vacation home belonging to a 50 year old Oakdale man was broken into sometime between September 3rd and October 13th. The suspect or suspects took a 1999 Evinrude boat motor, trolling boat motor, Hummingbird fish finder, and other fishing and boating related items. If you might have information call (814)332-6911.


Missing Person Turns Self In

Last week I reported Michael Wile Junior as a missing person and this week I am reporting that he is no longer missing. At 2:30 yesterday afternoon he presented himself at the Franklin Police Department. Mr. Wile is accused of violating his parole and has been placed in Venango County Jail.


SCOTUS Refuses Appeal on PA Redistricting Case

The United States Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s redrawing of the commonwealth’s electoral maps. This is the third rejection from the High Court which has also refused twice to issue a stay on the lower court’s decision this year.


Man Uninjured After Major Accident

Jeffrey Tubbs from Oakmont Pennsylvania avoided injury despite totaling his truck in a Venango County crash. While traveling north through Plum township on Wallaceville Road he lost control and struck an embankment. His Dodge Ram travelled along the embankment until it rolled onto its side, spun counterclockwise, righted itself, and crashed into a guardrail. Jeffrey was wearing a seatbelt and unharmed


Woman Charged After Drunken Shenanigans

Charges of harassment and disorderly conduct are filed against a 47 year old Ann Malin of Meadville for an incident last Thursday. It’s alleged that she struck a man from Lansing Michigan in the back of the head and face while drunk and being disruptive in the early morning hours.


President to Visit Pittsburgh

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania are expected to make an appearance in in the Squirrel Hill area of Pittsburgh today while the first four funerals for victims of the shooting are being held. The alleged shooter Robert Bowers made his first appearance in court yesterday and faces 29 Federal Charges, he may face another 36 charges from Pennsylvania.
