Truck Burglarized in Saegertown

Several items of value were stolen from a pickup truck in Saegertown Tuesday morning. Between midnight and 6am on October 9th someone gained access to an unlocked truck belonging to Seth Johnson while parked in a private driveway on Saegertown’s main street. Multiple hand and power tools were stolen as well as the victims wallet which contained $700 in cash.


High School Art Day at Edinboro

Today is High School Art Day at Edinboro University. Nearly 200 students from across the length and breadth of western Pennsylvania are visiting the University today to attend hands on workshops in multiple artistic disciplines.


Bill Designed to End Child Marriages in PA

Pennsylvania’s Senate Judiciary Committee will soon be voting on a bill that aims to end childhood marriages in the commonwealth. A loophole in state law allows parents to consent to marriage on behalf of their children; the Senate is hoping to close that loophole before this years legislative session ends in November. Around 2,300 children are married to adults in Pennsylvania, the majority of them are teenage girls married to older men by their parents.


Student Arrested After Possible School Shooting Threat

A 14 year old student at Saegertown Junior/Senior High School was arrested by State Police Troopers for terroristic threats against his fellow students. The teen posted a picture of a firearm on Snapchat captioned “Don’t come to school tomorrow”. School Principal Thomas Baker contacted the state police after being made aware of the threats by several students. An investigation is underway.


Trump Rallies in Erie

At last night’s rally in Erie President Donald Trump reiterated his support of Congressman Mike Kelly and Senate Hopeful Lou Barletta after inviting them on stage. He also spoke about Scott Wagner who is running in opposition to Governor Tom Wolf.


All Eyes on LeClair Murder Trial Underway in Erie

The murder trial for Christopher LeClair is underway. The 49 year old Erie County man is charged with the murder of his wife Karen on their commercial fishing boat and dumping the body in Lake Erie. LeClair’s attorney Bruce Springmire is arguing that Karen committed suicide while they were on the lake and he was trying to hide the fact.
