Stolen Truck Sought by Police

State Police are looking for a stolen pickup truck which was taken from a 21 year old Conneautville man in Crawford County’s Beaver Township between 4:00 and 5:30PM yesterday. The truck is a 1979 Chevrolet Model 1500, grey in color, with Pennsylvania plate numbered 1A01. The truck was last seen heading west on Parker Road in Beaver Township.

PA Senate Approves New Domestic Abuse Law

In a 45 to 3 vote the Pennsylvania State Senate approved a bill which would require convicted domestic abusers or subjects of a Final Protection from Abuse Order to relinquish their firearms to an officer of the court or other certified third party. The legislation was written by State Representative Marguerite Quinn and has met with approval from the Governor who has indicated he will be signing the bill. It passed the house with a margin of 131-62 last week.
