Man Steals $5,000 of Tools from Employer

The State Police are saying it only took two weeks before Justin Eddy of Slippery Rock stole nearly $5,000 worth of tools from Sherman Auto Repair where he was employed. Between the 6th and 29th Eddy is accused of taking $4,985 worth of tools from the garage he worked at. Information from the Franklin State Police indicates he remains in Venango County jail unable to meet bail.

 

Labor Day DUI Enforcement Stepped Up

Cambridge Springs Chief of Police Tad Acker and the rest of the Crawford County DUI task force want to remind you that sober driving is an integral part of having a safe and happy Labor Day weekend. DUI checkpoints and patrols will be established across the Commonwealth this weekend to keep the roads safe to travel on. Last year state and local police made 7,707 DUI arrests on Labor Day weekend.

 

Mayor of Ready Guilty of 11 Criminal Charges

Von Spencer, the former mayor of Reading Pennsylvania, was found guilty of multiple felonies by a jury last night. After a 9 day trial it only took 3 hours of deliberation for jurors to find Spencer guilty on one count each of Conspiracy and Wire Fraud and 9 counts of Bribery.
