All State Prisons in PA on Lockdown

Under the orders of Secretary of Corrections John Wetzel; incidents in multiple facilities on Saturday and again yesterday have lead to the complete lockdown of every State Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania. An unknown substance has been sickening guards in prisons across the state. It’s believed to be some sort of illegal drug but lab results on the substance have not been completed.

 

Two Thieves Caught in Act

Lyndsey Sventek and Jerry Roneker, both of Corry, are in Crawford County Jail on $50,000 bail after being caught red handed burglarizing a campsite in Crawford County’s Bloomfield Township. Both men were allegedly caught in the act of bringing stolen items to Roneker’s vehicle where police found multiple other items stolen from the camp.

 

Former State Treasurer Gets 30 Months in Prison

Three years after pleading guilty to extortion former Pennsylvania State Treasurer Rob McCord has been sentenced to 2 ½ years in Federal Prison plus another year of probation. In 2014 McCord used his position as Treasurer to extort political contributions in exchange for lucrative contracts for the state.
