Police Chase In Franklin Ends in Arrest
Franklin Police Department
Officers from the City of Franklin Police arrested Clay Geib and charged him with DUI, Fleeing and Eluding the Police, and other crimes after a 7:15PM chase through downtown Sunday. When police tried to stop him for speeding and reckless driving Geib ran, trying to outrun officers through the town of Franklin and swerving once in an attempt to hit a State Police cruiser. Geib allegedly hit several other vehicles while leading officers on the pursuit until his own Dodge Durango was disabled and tried to flee on foot where he was apprehended in the parking lot of a Sheetz.
Drug Possession Arrest at Meadville Wal-Mart
Dylan Beach of Cochranton PA was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after being found unresponsive in his vehicle which was in the parking lot of Wal-Mart in Meadville. A probable cause search by State Troopers found the drugs in a locked container that they obtained a warrant to open.

Man Seriously Injured in Motor Scooter Accident
50 year old Regis Gladis was flown by helicopter to UPMC Hamot in Erie with injuries to his head, shoulder, and leg after he he was ejected from his motor scooter in Jamestown. State Troopers say that Regis was not wearing any protective gear when he lost control of his scooter on Hulbert Road and was ejected into a ditch by the roadway.
Police Seek Evidence in Rifle Theft
State Police are looking for a weapon stolen from the property of a 76 year old Centerville man. The firearm is a Savage .22-250 Long Rifle with a bolt action and black composite stock. The rifle has been fitted with a range finding scope and valued at $650. It was stolen from the barn of a property on Brimstone Road in in Crawford County in late July or early August. Southeast and Central PA Declared Disaster Area
Governor Tom Wolf signed a proclamation that designates areas of Central and Southeast Pennsylvania as official disaster areas following flooding in 14 counties. The commonwealth is asking for a Federal proclamation for the area as well. The affected areas could then receive federal and state disaster aid to help rebuild.
