Police Seek Help Investigating Spate of Vandalisms

The Pennsylvania State Police Corry Patrol Unit is reporting an unusual amount of criminal mischief incidents in Warren and Erie Counties this week. A pickup truck in Erie County’s Concord Township had holes drilled into its fuel tank by persons unknown and two other trucks were vandalized with broken windows in Columbus Township in Warren County earlier this week. Mailboxes belonging to residents of Williamsport and Union City were damaged on consecutive nights on Wilson and Maple Grove Roads in Crawford and Erie Counties. Drivers Falling Asleep Cause I-80 Crashes

People keep falling asleep and crashing on Interstate 80 in Clarion County. Frank Paden of Brookville was uninjured after rolling his car Monday morning in a work zone shortly before 6am. Arthur Dwyer Junior of Kingman Arizona also avoided injury after crashing his car at 6:15 in the morning on Friday.


Rescue Operation Saves Campers Along Flooded River

50 campers were rescued yesterday in a massive operation to rescue individuals stranded by flood waters along the Lehigh River. The search and rescue operation involved seven teams from four counties and took several hours.
