17 Year old Teen Injured in Crash Caused by Deer

A 17 year old driver was airlifted to a hospital after rolling her car while trying to avoid a deer in the road. The unidentified girl was traveling South on Shannondale Road in Clarion County’s Redbank Township. When she swerved her Chevrolet Cavalier to miss the animal she hit a ditch and rolled the car. The driver was airlifted to Allegheny General Hospital, another 17 year old girl was uninjured and refused transport.


Kory Durfey Arrested to Attempted Arson

Kory Durfey of Corry was arrested for Attempted Arson and other crimes after threatening, and then trying to burn down the house of a Spartansburg man. A warrant was released for Durfey’s arrest last Thursday and State Police confirm he was caught over the weekend and is now in Crawford County Jail.


Presque Isle Downs Sold for $179 Million

Erie’s Casino is making National News after a deal was struck to sell the facility for $179 million. Churchill Downs of Louisville Kentucky is purchasing Presque Isle Downs along with another casino in Farmville Pennsylvania for a mere $100,000. The deal is not yet completed but will be clearing soon.


State Police Seek help Investigating Driver Who Ran from Traffic Cops

Members of the Pennsylvania State Police have identified the owner of a grey pickup truck that lead State Troopers through parts of Crawford and Erie County. Troopers from Corry State Police pursued the vehicle at around 6:15AM Sunday morning through Crawford County’s Bloomfield Township and Union Township in Erie County until the chase was cancelled for being unsafe. The investigation into the driver of the truck continues and anyone with information should Contact the Corry State Police Barracks at (814)-663-2043.


State News: Arnold City Council Asks Governor to Remove Mayor

The City Council of Arnold unanimously approved a resolution calling for the Governor and State Senate to remove their mayor from her post. The resolution came after hundreds of angry residents of the town which is about 20 miles from Pittsburgh signed a petition calling for Mayor Karen Peconi to resign from her office when she inflammatory comments on social media after the shooting death of Antwon Rose Jr. Mayor Peconi refused to honor the petition leading to the City Council’s actions.
