Woman Trapped in Burning House Dies

The cause of a deadly house fire is being investigated by Fire Marshalls from the Pennsylvania State Police. On Saturday June 30th trucks from six separate fire departments battled a large blaze near Springboro and once the fire was under control the body of 60 year old Janice Muncsh was discovered inside.


Police Search for Stolen Van

The investigation of the theft of a green van is still being undertaken by the Franklin State Police. On the 25th of June a New Castle Couple lent the van to a 35 year old woman and a 49 year old man so they could go to the hospital but they never went to the hospital and never returned the van. Both suspects are in custody and troopers are searching for information on the vehicle, a green 1998 Ford Windstar with the license number KGN4846. Call (814)676-6596 if you have information.


Keynote Speaker Announced for MBA’s Erie Convention

The Manufacturing and Business Association or MBA has revealed their Keynote Speaker for their 113th annual gala. On October 4th Daymond John of Sharktank fame will headline the annual event. Daymond John is a self made millionaire after launching multiple successful businesses such as the FUBU clothing line, he is also known as ‘The People’s Millionaire’ on the 4 time Emmy winning show Shark Tank. The MBA’s Annual Event is the tri-state region’s premier business networking event, featuring the nation’s most prominent figures in business, politics and journalism. This year it’s held at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie.


Homerun Derby and and Cornhole for a Cause

On July 21st at 1PM the Tyler Shreve Foundation will be holding a Home Run Derby and Cornhole Tournament at the the Jim Kelly Baseball field in East Brady to raise funds. The foundation provides academic scholarships and money for school libraries among other works. The homerun derby costs $6 per entrant; the cornhole tournament is double elimination and costs $10 per person or $20 for a team. Both games feature prizes for the winners and there will also be a silent auction and an open concession stand.
