Correcting the Record

Yesterday we mistakenly reported that Zachary Peterson of Guys Mills was a suspect in a motor vehicle theft. Zachary was the victim of the theft and News Live 365 apologizes on behalf of the network and our affiliates to Mr. Peterson and the Corry State Police. The stolen car was a black 1989 Jaguar XJ6. It was taken from a location on Dingman Road in Troy Township Sunday morning and was later found after it had been set on fire. Please contact the Corry State Police at (814)663-2043.


Springboro Man Jailed on Assault Charges

Kyle Hyatt of Springboro was taken to Crawford County Jail after allegedly injuring two people. Hyatt is accused of turning violent during an argument and pushing 29 year old Zachary Cody into his mother Laura and then punching him in the face until he was injured.


2018-2019 Budget Unanimously Passes First Hurdle

Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives will soon be voting on the State Budget for 2019. The nearly $33 billion budget proposal unanimously passed the House finance committee Tuesday. The proposal increases education spending, closes a more than $2 billion spending gap, and includes no tax increases.

Troopers Investigate Dollar General Buglary

Corry State Police are investigating a burglary at Dollar General in Townville. At around 3am Tuesday morning two unidentified individuals used pry bars to force their way into the store and attempted to steal cigarettes from a secure cabinet before fleeing the scene. House Amends Medical Marijuana Research Law

Last month a Commonwealth Court Judge issued a preliminary injunction halting medical marijuana research in Pennsylvania over certain objections from growers. Rather than fight a lengthy court battle the House of Representatives passed an amendment to the research provisions of the medical marijuana law to make them more specific. The measure passed 167 to 31 and the Senate will be debating the bill soon.
