Man Charged with Assaulting Police with Dog Leash

A 50 year old Rimersburg man has been charged for assaulting State Troopers with a dog leash. When State Troopers tried to speak with Robert Anderson about an earlier incident he allegedly tried to run and then became combative and shouted expletives at police. He removed the leash from the dog he was walking and used it to strike a State Trooper and needed to be hit multiple times with tasers before he went down. Anderson’s dog bit a trooper in the leg, it was restrained and then placed in the care of a neighbor.

 

Mercer City Roundabout Plans on Display

PennDOT is displaying the plans for a roundabout to be installed in the City of Hermitage in Mercer County. The plans can be viewed from 4:30 to 7:30 am every weekday at the Hermitage Building. The roundabout is to be installed at the intersection of State Street and Route 62 wit work starting in April 2019.
